Announcing Dwelling of Fools!
(Yes, obviously it's yet another parody )
The following rules are practically a copy/paste of the DoD rules, but tweaked for OLR's purposes:
Track Rules:
1. This competion is all about live instruments. The primary sound/instrument must be played live. You can of course sequence samples, synths, etc for backing.
2. This is a monthly competition. Each month will have a theme (for example, "Games with Ninjas", "Any game released in 1991" or "Mega Man games". Submissions must fit into the theme for that month (following the standard OLR submission guidelines) and must be submitted to me via private message by 6AM GMT on the last day of the month.
3. Tracks must be at least 1:00 in length. The track must be made for this contest, meaning it must be new or previously unreleased. Tracks must not be posted here or anywhere else until the contest (mixing and voting) is over.
4. This is an anonymous competition, meaning nobody must know who did what track until the contest is finished. We want votes to be as unbiased as possible. Please try hide this information as much as you can (for example, not talking about your track, and not naming it something like "<your name> Goes Nuts On Piano!".
Voting Rules:
1. Votes are submitted to me, Richter via private message (at least until the automated system is complete). Votes will be tallied on the last day of the month at 10PM GMT. Only users with at least 25 posts are allowed to vote.
2. Votes are tallied following the Super Mario Kart method, meaning:
1st place = 9 pts
2nd place = 6 pts
3rd place = 3 pts
4th place = 1 pt
The theme for this month is ANYTHING! Any track from any video game!
If you'd like to contribute, please begin mixing August 1st. You have one month! Thanks!

If I find time between my work, I'll cook up something spicy.
Maybe not too spicy. Don't want any blown speakers.
I'll have to pay attention. As soon as it hits midnight, ReMiXing BEGINS!!! _________________

You are correct sir!
Be it guitar, piano, sexophone... a fuckin' bucket. So long as it's the primary focus of the track.
This is great I can't wait to hear what you boys pump out. _________________

Yeah, an afternoon would probably work just fine... but then we wouldn't be parodying (is that a word? it is a word) DoD very well. omg mythril you gonna play some shizzel??????
Ok, these came up:
No, your vox is not an instrument. Singing doesn't count. It must be a tangible instrument that you are playing. Beyond that, we're very flexible.
Also, yes, you can submit your mix to be posted on OLR, but please do so once the contest is over.
OMG MIX! _________________
