I guess I have an appetite for pain, but I bought the PS2 version of Sonic Unleashed. Mostly 'cause there's nothing I really want for Christmas, so I figured I might as well spend that $30 on some REAL entertainment. The game hits this sweet spot between hilariously bad and really fun. Some of the bosses have been pretty cool. It'd be a good game if the controls weren't so stiff and if Werehog Sonic weren't so suicidal. Though if I were him, I'd probably have suicidal tendencies as well; I just wouldn't express them by falling off a cliff whenever I launched an attack on a small platform.

Overall, I'd rent instead of buy. It'll probably take me a few months to actually beat it, because I can't get through more than a few stages before I get a horrible headache that lasts for several hours.

My little brother beat it in a week YOU SUCK

Christmas = Wario Land: Shake It! and Sonic Unleashed, since Gauntlet DS doesn't come out until February, and Korg DS-10 isn't really a game.

THERE IS POLKA MUSIC OUTSIDE MY WINDOW WHAT THE HELL

been playin lips and the newer american idol games. if u got 360 there's a free game by doritos in the arcade which is a majorly easy 200 gs. also still destroyin on call of duty anything. i want to try out left for dead after about a month of researching it. i'm not really into zombie games but to me valve is an ok company and their engine is pretty good plus i've heard lots of great things about it. tempted to try sonic unleashed.

Kinda reminds me of when some dude rickrolled the entire west quad on Halloween. So good to be away from school.

Hey Xenon, tell me how the new Wario game is once you get a feel for it. I've been thinking about getting it for awhile now.

I think my problem with Sonic Unleashed is the camera. I can get through a level just fine until the camera goes nuts and zooms in on Werehog Sonic's ass. That might be the source of my headaches/nausea, 'cause I've been able to count ten separate occasions where I'll get stuck against a wall fighting a boss and the camera tries to jam itself in his butt. And that's only after I started counting.

They started playing Christmas music, but it was like a tuba, a sax, and some type of organ, and I couldn't see out my window enough to find out if it was a bunch of people or a recording

and mmmm! Werehog camera buttsex. sounds hawt

I should play some old-school Sonic or something soon

It's a surprisingly fun little game. much better than the previos free ad-game yaris.

also, wario land is awesome, waffle. it's like the old GB wario lands, only with more shaking and prettier visuals. though if you absolutely hate the cliched "escape before time runs out" shtick, then this probably won't be for you, since every level ends like that.

What??!! I thought it was pretty cool. Not that the post SOTN CV series was ever my absolute favorite, but OoE is a fun time-waster. I mean, if you like Dawn of Sorrow or Portrait of Ruin, I can't see how you couldn't like this one. It's about as fun as DoS, and I think much better than PoR. It's got some cool tunes too! I wanna remix soon. (that is as soon as the 2sf comes out, or some makes some midis)

Here are my thoughts:

Pretty much every Castlevania game for the DS has gotten consistently better and better, until Portrait of Ruin, which I think is probably the best Castlevania game ever (hard to beat the classics like 1 and 3, but what can ya do?).

So I expected near perfection when I got Ecclesia. Turns out, it's a mediocre game with a cool main character design, and that's about as far as it goes. The rest of the gimmicks/new features are lame (who wants a limit on how many times they can use their primary weapon?) and some of the bosses are much too difficult -- two bosses almost got me to quit playing the game.

Also I thought the music was entirely forgettable, one of the worst parts of the game. Ugh Sad

Hmm. Yeah, I guess the bosses would be too difficult...for someone with no skills. No, they were really hard. But, I liked that. It took me several times to beat each boss, and I didn't really see that as a problem. I'm playing Harmony of Dissonance right now, and I don't think I've died, much less spent more than 2 minutes on any boss, which I think is kinda lame.

I don't know how far you've gotten, but I thought all the music up until the battle with Albus was lame. After that, there are a few good tracks. But, honestly I thats they way it's been with EVERY Castlevania handheld. Even PoR, which has some insanely killer tunes, only has about 4 of em and the rest are kinda just garbage. As far as playing PoR goes, I got quite annoyed with the whole switching between characters thing. The game just didn't capture my interest like DoS did, and I couldn't keep from putting it down. Maybe I'll give it another try though...
