hey about NES games, is ghouls 'n' ghosts even playable? you know, the one with king arthur, he has the most fragile set of full plate ever and can't change directions mid-jump OR aim his goddamn throwing lance? yeah fuck that game, it starts out on CRAZY GODDAMN HARD mode and only gets worse.

yeah, I had that game when I was a kid and it always pissed me off so much how hard it was. but, I found a cheat code in some magazine that allowed you to warp levels, and totally whooped luicfer's ass.

The best part is when you reach the end you get sent all the way back to the beginning and have to play through it again to get the proper ending (and the stages get harder for the second go-around).

I never played the NES port, but I played the shit out of the arcade version. It came on one of those Capcom Classic Collections, along with its two sequels. I can't remember which it was, but I got the proper ending on at least one of them. The other two I could only get through the first playthrough.

Yeah, it's very good. I just love beating up baddies with my sword. But, I can't for the life of me see how it has gotten perfect reviews. There's so many little things that are frickin' annoying, like having to read the same dialogue multiple times when it's unnecessary. Also, the camera sucks. And it could be a little less linear. Oh yeah, the music pretty much blows goats, but that's to be expected these days I guess.

I recently beat Mega Man 10, now working on the 5th installment.

Recently bought and have been slowly making my way through. Pretty good. Not worthy of perfect reviews. But definitely good. Not a fan of flying above the clouds. I know it's just like riding Epona around, but I hate having to shake the remote in order to get the damn bird to flap its wings. I also don't like fetch quests, like when I had to go get the stupid water for stupid dragon. Oh well. Could be worse, for sure.

I played Sonic Generations recently. It's surprisingly good.

That made me discover how awesome is Sonic Colors' OST. What the heck.

Sonic Colors OST~~~<3 Hahaha.

As for Skyward Sword, the perfect ratings are rather peculiar to me though I love my Zelda games, but none of them have been perfect in my opinion. I generally overlook the bad things, but that doesn't necessarily mean I don't know they're there. That said, it really is no surprise that somehow the game got perfect ratings.

I recently just finished the main storyline in Professor Layton and the Last Specter to keep this post on topic. Twas fun, but I'm a fan of the series anyways so it's not hard to please me. Love them puzzles and that animation and the music and the diversity in character design. Okay maybe I'll be quiet now. Haha.

I got a 3DS. Played half an hour of Zelda, A dozen on Mario Kart 7 (but I am extremely unlucky, so I'm considering selling it) and almost 100 hours on Pokémon White. I almost didn't play in December, so that's a good mark.

Playin' some Skyward Sword, but for xmas I also got all of the Professor Layton games sans Curious Village, and a buttload of sandboxes (GTA Trilogy, Episodes, Just Cause 2, and Saints Row: The Third), also little bro got Generations, so eventually I'll get to those...but SKYWARD SWORD!

If you some questioning towards the 'perfect scores,' Akogare, look here: http://www.escapistmagazine.com/videos/view/zero-punctuation/5148-The-Legend-of-Zelda-Skyward-Sword

They put Bomberman 94 on the Wii U Virtual Console, so you bet I'm playing the hell out of that. When the Sega Channel was still around, my brother and I loved to play Battle Mode on the Genesis port of that game (Mega Bomberman).

Bomberman '94 is the original PC Engine version of the game, so it's been nice to see the slightly more colorful graphics and hear the better version of the soundtrack. I'm having a blast!

I'm one of those people that usually waits a year or two before buying a new console, so I'm typically a generation behind. I had just bought a PS4 like back in November (Black Friday deal as I recall) so I couldn't really justify to myself shelling out more money for yet another console just a few months later.

But damn if BotW doesn't make me want to.

That being said, been playing the hell out of Final Fantasy XV and The Witcher 3. It's been a long time since a console game has kept my interest considering I mostly play PC games these days.

I've been playing a mix of PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds, Heroes of the Storm, and Persona 5.

After that I plan on playing all the 3D zeldas with my wife because she's only really seen BotW all the way through and is interested in the rest of them. Starting with Marjora's Mask because she wants to do that one

I've finally figured out a good place to keep my Framemeister, so I've been rocking some Link to the Past in RGB on my HDTV lately. Debating on whether to go for Super Mario RPG or Chrono Trigger next.

Iunno man. PLaying a game like dead cells in early access feels weird. I don't mind getting a multiplayer game because the dynamic of the game changes so much because of player interaction. I just don't see me playing a single player experience patch after patch.
