OLRmageddon

With cotti winning his third gold, he decides to start off our FINAL YEAR (figuratively speaking) with a bang!

And here it is, straight from the horse's mouth:

cotti wrote:
So, here we are. At the Mudd Club yard.

2012. Time for Doomsday to strike upon us, and for making everything in pieces, pretty hard to glue.

I don't know about you guys, but I have been preparing myself for the last ordeals. I have helped the last granny to cross the street, and neglected help to the last children hit by the car she was driving. I went to the temple (with my waifu, safely in a VN), and I'm even thinking on changing my wig for the occasion. Hell, I might even make contact with other humans, perhaps.

Now I'm here, drinking coffee at 5:41AM. I wanted to sleep at 1AM...

But then I had a vision. An epiphany. What could possibly be the theme for this month's OLRmageddon?

Of such difficult times, we have been warned. It was foretold by ancient drunkards. Incredibly accurate at times drunkards. That we would have stress. That we would puke if we drink too much alcohol. That... That you should never be the last one in the table, for you will have to pay the bill.

So, the theme this month, in homage for the guys who are waiting in the gates of Valhalla to point at us and say "TOLD YA", is...

GAMES WITH PROPHECIES

Any game that has such strong piece of lore, is a good choice. Let your beliefs guide you.

As for the bonus... Well, not everyone receives the news of their last moments very well. Had a few moments in a sanitarium myself - just escaped. Before they catch me, I present you my bonus.

THAT'S RIGHT, YOU HEARD IT RIGHT, OUR BIG BONUS FOR TONIGHT IS THE MANIACAL LAUGHTER.

You can put it anywhere in the song AND/OR use it as an instrument. Original recordings are highly encouraged.

Good luck, people of the Earth and outer space friends. You'll need it. Please everyone, do not get hit by trains, it hurts.

So there you have it! Are you ready?

Arrow Mixing begins when you read this.
Exclamation Mixing ends on January 27th at 11:59 PM EST (8:59 PM for the PST-ers).
Arrow Voting begins as soon as the songs are uploaded to the site.
Exclamation Voting ends on January 31st at 11:59 PM EST.
dump truck Rinse & repeat.

FOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOORTOLD!

A few examples of perfectly valid options:

- Mostly all Final Fantasy titles featuring crystal shenanigans. Hell, FF's I to III had the prophecy right in your face at the very beginning of the game. Classic example.

- Most Zelda titles also apply.

- I don't know for sure about the other games, but Alone In The Dark 3 is applicable.

- Mother series

- Eternal Darkness

- A lot of "Tales of" games

- Sonic and The Secret Rings

- Terranigma

- Demon's Crest

- Ecco The Dolphin series

Or... Skyrim!

And I'm sorry Xenon, you made quite the list in the snow theme month, but I've been quite busy, so I haven't even read it until now Sad Also kudos for remembering that I once made a remix of the Himalaya theme in Ducktales love

It's quite alright; it was a theme I chose, so I felt obligated to provide some examples. And I knew you did a mix; I was searching through my files because I thought I had it and was like, 'He did do one, right? I'm not just making this up...' Ducktales needs more love; The Moon is great and all, but so are all the other themes!

remember to do this every time you participate in the future

continuation of the exposition tradition surrounding my position on your submissions:

All We Can Do: Thumbs UpThumbs UpThumbs Up in fact, the best thing to do is get drunk. the laughter scared me. your voice sounds like Weebl doing a Long John Baldry impersonation, which makes you irreplaceable. if something happens and you get a lot of money, this song is why you deserve it.

Dr C.Temple: wrong site

Hero Be Gone: Thumbs UpThumbs Up you make rap look hard, and that amateur quality will take you to the top! "well why did you give the skyrim mix more points then, if you liked mine so good?" personal preference, that's seriously it, that's all. i prefer beer humor to video game humor and that's what's wrong with me. "then go somewhere else! find a site about remixing beer, you big stupid fucker!" believe me, i have looked.

Schminal Schmantasy: i read the title and expected jew jokes. instead, i got saw waves and My First Dubstep.

Overlong Madley: Thumbs Up minimum nelson for sinistar.

ReMixer said he threw in a bunch of references for peeps like you love

about a minute and a half in, i remember hearing something very low-volume panning between channels, it was a vocal clip from some club techno song i guess, one of those songs where it sounds like Alvin the Chipmunk is singing? you know what i mean. there was other stuff but i guess i'm not hip to the jive or whatever the kids call it nowadays because i don't remember anything that really stood out. Toejam and Earl samples would have earned the maximum nelson on the spot.

adding a bunch of non-sequitur references is precisely as likely to earn my love as spamming memes. if you are the remixer, next time you should triple the BPM and add a track of you holding an agonized moan-scream for the entire duration of the song. that way, when i'm sitting there waiting for the song to end, it will be because my ears hurt, not because i'm bored.

all of this is naturally to be taken in context of me being a gigantic asinine faggot dick who nobody should listen to ever.
